At Vita, we are committed to ensuring every learner has access to a high-quality, personalized education—regardless of financial background. While tuition is set at $20,000 per year, the vast majority of our families do not pay this amount out-of-pocket.
When we started Vita, we relied on government funding through our charter partnership and ESA tuition, which capped funding at approximately $7,000 per student—a fraction of what top-tier education requires. For comparison, public schools in Washington, D.C. receive around $25,000 per student.
With only $7,000 per student, it was challenging to:
✅ Provide cutting-edge technology to enhance learning.
✅ Offer a world-class curriculum and project-based learning experiences.
✅ Recruit and retain top-tier educators who inspire and mentor students.
✅ Maintain financial stability and growth to ensure a sustainable future for Vita.
By increasing tuition to $20,000, we are able to enhance and expand the Vita experience—offering a next-level education that remains financially accessible to all families through STO scholarships, fundraising, and financial aid.
💡 How is tuition covered?
Arizona’s STO (School Tuition Organization) program allows families and businesses to redirect their state income taxes to fund their child’s private school education.
1. Individuals can contribute up to $3,000 (jointly) and receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit.
2. Businesses have no contribution limit, significantly boosting available scholarship funds.
How it works:
1️⃣ You contribute the amount you owe in state taxes to Vita’s STO partner.
2️⃣ The state recognizes you’ve already paid your taxes and refunds you the amount when you file.
3️⃣ Vita uses these funds as scholarships to cover tuition.

Additionally, families can fundraise for tuition and secure their child’s spot sooner rather than waiting for scholarship availability. If you need assistance navigating STO, we are happy to guide you through the process!
No problem! Our admissions team is experienced in helping new students transition smoothly, whether they’re coming from traditional schools, homeschooling, or other alternative education models.
We provide personalized onboarding and mentorship to help learners feel comfortable and thrive in Vita’s unique, student-driven environment.
We do not require formal entrance exams. Instead, we evaluate students based on:
✔️ A one-on-one interview to ensure a great personal and educational fit
✔️ A review of prior academic records and standardized test scores (if applicable)
✔️ A discussion about the student’s goals, learning style, and interests
We believe every student is more than just a test score, and our admissions process reflects that.
Vita is in the process of becoming accredited while already using an accredited curriculum to ensure that students are fully prepared for college and career pathways.
Colleges today place a strong emphasis on college entrance exams, student portfolios, and real-world experience, all of which Vita actively helps students build.
We are committed to making Vita accessible to all families, regardless of financial circumstances.

- Cook together with certified staff using food provided by St. Mary’s Food Bank.
- Have access to microwaves, snacks, and cookable food in our stocked kitchen.
- Occasionally order food as a group.
